Woodford Osteopaths

Osteopathy That Gets
to the Root Cause

At our Woodford clinic, we don't just treat symptoms — we find out why you're in pain. Our osteopaths combine thorough diagnostic assessment with skilled hands-on treatment to address the underlying cause of your condition.

As part of the Spine Plus group, we have access to advanced treatment technologies that most osteopathy practices simply don't offer: IDD spinal decompression, shockwave therapy, TECAR therapy and medical-grade laser — all under one roof.

Whether you're dealing with a longstanding back problem, a recent sports injury or chronic neck pain, our multi-disciplinary team will build a treatment plan around you.

When you step foot into our Woodford clinic, I promise you three things:

You come first. Everyone who walks through our door is a priority — not a number, not a name on a list. We know our patients personally and we treat them that way.
Complete transparency. We'll always be honest about what we find, what we recommend and what it will cost. Every therapist is handpicked and trained by me personally.

Got Questions?

Osteopathy FAQs

What is the difference between an osteopath and a physiotherapist?

Osteopaths focus on the whole body and use hands-on manipulation to improve joint mobility and relieve pain. Physiotherapists tend to focus more on exercise-based rehabilitation. At Spine Plus, we offer both disciplines so we can tailor treatment to your specific needs.

Do I need a GP referral to see an osteopath?

No. Osteopaths are primary healthcare practitioners, so you can book directly without a referral. We'll carry out a full assessment at your first appointment and let you know if we need to involve your GP.

What happens during my first osteopathy appointment?

Your initial consultation lasts 45-60 minutes. We'll take a full medical history, carry out a physical examination, discuss your diagnosis and begin treatment on the same visit where appropriate.

Is osteopathy safe?

Yes. Osteopathy is a regulated profession in the UK. All our osteopaths are registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and carry full professional indemnity insurance.

Do you accept health insurance?

Yes, we are recognised by all major health insurers including BUPA, AXA PPP, Aviva, Vitality and Cigna. Please check your policy or contact your insurer before your appointment.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on your condition. Many patients feel significant improvement within 2-4 sessions. We'll give you an honest assessment and treatment plan at your first visit — we never over-treat.
